The protocols linked below were used in the HackHealth after school program.
- Preliminary Interview Script. Administered before students began participating in the HackHealth program.
- Health Interest Survey. Administered during students’ first HackHealth meeting.
- Card Sorting Instructions. Researchers did card-sorting exercises with students early on in the program to learn about which types of sources they would turn to if they had a need for health information.
- Instructions for Word Cloud Activity (Government). Researchers asked students to create a word cloud of their perceptions of Government, following these instructions.
- Instructions for Word Cloud Activity (dot-gov). In this activity, researchers asked students to create a word cloud of their perceptions about dot-gov websites.
- Health Literacy Assessment Test. This assessment was administered to HackHealth students toward the beginning of the program.
- Follow-up Interview Script. Researchers interviewed students after they had completed the HackHealth program.
- Focus Group Protocol (Students). Students and their parents were asked to participate in a focus group at the end of the HackHealth program.
